Denver-based bassist Mario Pagliarulo brings his singular and versatile approach to each and every project he takes on. With a breadth of experience spanning 25+ years and the Atlantic Ocean, this Italian-native took Los Angeles by storm when he landed there in 2001, establishing himself as a busy studio bassist and world-touring and recording with internationally recognized artists including Serj Tankian (lead singer, System of A Down), Trevor Hall, and many of the best independent artists in L.A. After moving to Denver, Mario quickly established himself as one of the most in-demand session and live bassists in town, performing and recording with Rob Drabkin, Eric Martinez, John Fishell, and many others.
Mario’s early influences include Italian pop and Neapolitan soul music, hearty helpings of reggae, Motown, blues and most importantly, the funk and R&B records his father would play on repeat. Mario’s early musical career that deep sense of groove and infectious smile that holds both bands and entire audiences together with rhythm and joy.
